What is leveled dance?

Our Leveled Dance Program is designed for dancers who are ready to build strong technical foundations and progress through a structured curriculum. Placement is based on skill mastery rather than age, allowing each student to develop at the appropriate pace. With expert instruction in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, acro, and musical theatre, dancers receive focused training that promotes confidence, artistry, and proper technique. Students perform in our Winter Showcase and Spring Recital while having the opportunity to participate in additional programs such as Prep Step, Competition Teams, and the Big Country Youth Ballet.

Requirements:

Placement in the Leveled Dance Program is determined by instructor evaluation based on each dancer's technical skills, strength, and readiness—not age. Throughout the year, dancers receive periodic progress reports and may participate in parent/instructor conferences to discuss growth, goals, and recommendations for advancement. Because consistent training is essential for technical development, students are expected to meet the program's attendance requirements and maintain regular class participation. Excessive absences or failure to meet program expectations may impact class placement and advancement.
